THE RIEGLE PROJECT

The Riegle's, Dave, Becky and their three girls, awakened to find their home on Clark Road in Harrisville on fire around 3 A.M. on Monday the 29th of April. Dave Riegle, was burned down his back while rescuing his eldest daughter. He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw and has since been released. The family lost everything they owned in the fire. The Harrisville community immediately pulled together to house and feed this family. A local attorney gave them - rent free - a rental home recently vacated. Some eighty residents gathered to paint and carpet the home, while others built a deck and a dog run. Food, dishes, bedding and furniture was brought in for the Riegle's. A local doctor set up a fund at the bank for the family - thousands were donated. Harrisville Lions & Lady Lions sponsored a spaghetti dinner at which over 400 meals were served and $3,300 raised.
